Software is developed for making the transcriptions of the compositions into the **kern format easier and (of course) for measuring the style markers in the compositions.

Prekern translates a context-dependent **kern-alike description into "real" **kern.

Musicprobe takes a composition in **kern format or a corpus of compositions in **kern format as input and measures the values of the style markers for each (part of a) composition.
